Each year Lowville is home to the Lewis County Fair, the Kraft Cream Cheese Festival and the Adirondack International Speedway.  Thousands of people visit Lewis County annually to ride snowmobiles and ATV's on the hundreds of miles of recreational trails throughout the county.  The Tug Hill Plateau which lies east of Lake Ontario, is famous for  its record breaking snowfall and provides a perfect location for snowmobiling and outdoor activities.
